Lexmark Return Program Cartridges are sold at a discount versus the prices of regular ink cartridges in exchange for the customer's agreement to use the cartridge only once and return it only to Lexmark for remanufacturing or recycling.

The patented ink cartridge is licenced for a single use only and is designed to stop working after delivering a fixed amount of ink. A variable amount of ink will remain in the cartridge when replacement is required. After this single use the licence to use the print cartridge terminates and the used cartridge must be return only to Lexmark for remanufacturing, refilling or recycling.
