Ink Refill Bottles for Epson Expression ET-2500 EcoTank Printer

The Epson Expression ET-2500 EcoTank is a budget-friendly inkjet printer designed to offer cost-effective printing with its refillable ink tank system. It's a part of Epson's EcoTank series, which aims to reduce the need for traditional ink cartridges and lower overall printing costs. Here are the key features and specifications of the ET-2500:

1. EcoTank System

• The standout feature of the ET-2500 is its EcoTank system. Instead of using conventional ink cartridges, it comes with large, refillable ink tanks. This helps reduce the cost per page significantly, as you only need to refill the tanks with the T664 ink refill bottles, which are much cheaper than cartridges.

• The printer includes high-capacity ink tanks that come pre-filled with ink, so you can start printing right away.

2. Print, Copy, Scan Functionality

• The ET-2500 is an all-in-one printer, which means it can print, copy, and scan documents. It’s ideal for home or small office environments that need versatile functionality without taking up too much space.

3. Wireless Connectivity

• The printer supports Wi-Fi for wireless printing, meaning you can print from your computer, smartphone, or tablet without needing a physical connection to the printer. It also supports mobile printing solutions like Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print.

4. Print Quality

• The print quality of the ET-2500 is decent for an inkjet printer in this price range. It offers sharp text and good color reproduction for photos and documents. It can print at resolutions up to 5760 x 1440 dpi (dots per inch), which is suitable for most home and office needs.

5. Speed and Efficiency

• The ET-2500 can print at speeds of up to 9 pages per minute (ppm) for black-and-white prints, and up to 4.5 ppm for color prints. While not the fastest inkjet in the market, it’s reasonable for its intended use.

6. Compact Design

• The printer has a compact design, making it easy to fit in small spaces, which is helpful for home offices or cramped workspaces.

7. Cost Efficiency

• One of the most attractive aspects of the ET-2500 is its low running cost. The refillable ink tanks can be refilled with the T664 ink refill bottles that offer a much lower cost per page compared to traditional inkjet printers with cartridges. Epson claims that the printer can print up to 4,000 black-and-white pages and 6,500 color pages with the included ink bottles, which can last for a long time.

8. Ink Refill Bottles

• The printer uses Epson’s T664 ink refill bottles (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow). These ink bottles are sold separately, and refilling is straightforward and mess-free.

9. Paper Handling

• The ET-2500 features a 100-sheet paper tray. It supports a variety of paper types and sizes, including letter, legal, and 4x6-inch photo paper. However, it does not have an automatic document feeder (ADF), so you’ll need to manually feed each page when scanning or copying multiple pages.

10. Energy Efficiency

• Epson printers are known for being energy-efficient, and the ET-2500 is no exception. It is designed to consume less power compared to many other inkjet printers, which is good for reducing your electricity bill.

11. User-Friendly

• The printer features an easy-to-use control panel with a small LCD screen for simple navigation. The setup process is relatively straightforward, and Epson provides software that can help with installation and maintenance.

Pros:

• Low operating costs with the EcoTank system.

• All-in-one functionality (print, copy, scan).

• Wireless printing via Wi-Fi and mobile apps.

• Compact and space-saving design.

• No need for expensive ink cartridges.

Cons:

• Moderate print speed (not the fastest).

• Lacks some advanced features like an ADF (automatic document feeder).

• Lower print speeds for color prints.

Summary

The Epson Expression ET-2500 EcoTank printer is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a low-cost, easy-to-maintain inkjet printer for home or small office use. The EcoTank system, in particular, stands out as a major benefit for reducing the total cost of ownership, especially for those who print frequently. While it lacks some of the advanced features found in higher-end models, it delivers solid performance for everyday printing, scanning, and copying needs.
