Ink Refill Bottles for Epson Expression ET 3700 EcoTank Printer

The Epson Expression ET-3700 EcoTank is another model in Epson’s EcoTank series of inkjet printers, designed to offer cost-effective printing with a refillable ink tank system. It shares many of the same features as the ET-2750 but includes some upgrades to improve productivity and performance. Here’s a detailed look at the ET-3700:

Key Features:

1. EcoTank Refillable Ink System:

   • Like other EcoTank printers, the ET-3700 uses the EcoTank T502 ink refill bottles for a large, refillable ink tank instead of traditional cartridges. This means users can print far more pages at a much lower cost.

   • It offers up to 2 years of ink included in the box, which significantly reduces your overall ink costs. Refilling the tanks is simple and mess-free, thanks to the easy-to-pour ink bottles.

2. Print Quality:

   • Resolution: The ET-3700 offers a print resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. While not as high as the ET-2750’s 5760 x 1440 dpi, this resolution is still more than adequate for home and office printing tasks, delivering clear text and detailed color prints.

   • Print Speed: The printer delivers up to 15 pages per minute (ppm) for black-and-white prints and around 8 ppm for color prints, which is faster than the ET-2750, making it suitable for environments with moderate print volume.

3. Wireless and Mobile Printing:

   • Wi-Fi is built in, allowing for wireless printing from computers, smartphones, and tablets.

   • It supports various mobile printing solutions like Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and Epson iPrint for convenient, remote printing.

4. High-Capacity Paper Tray:

   • The ET-3700 comes with a 150-sheet paper tray, which is larger than the ET-2750’s 100-sheet tray. This means fewer paper refills, making it more suitable for medium-volume printing needs.

5. All-in-One Functionality:

   • Print, Scan, and Copy: Like other EcoTank models, the ET-3700 is an all-in-one device, capable of printing, scanning, and copying. While it doesn’t have an automatic document feeder (ADF) for scanning or copying multi-page documents, it remains versatile for general office and home tasks.

6. LCD Display:

   • It features a 2.4-inch color LCD for easy operation, providing better visibility and control over the printer’s settings compared to the smaller LCD on the ET-2750.

7. Compact Design:

   • Despite having a larger ink tank and paper capacity, the ET-3700 still maintains a relatively compact form factor, making it a good fit for home offices or smaller workspaces.

Advantages:

• Cost Savings: The primary benefit is the significant reduction in ink costs. Since the ink tanks can hold much more ink than traditional cartridges, you’ll save money over time.

• Environmental Benefits: The Ink Refill Bottles T502 for the EcoTank system are a more eco-friendly option compared to disposable cartridges.

• Faster Print Speed: With a higher page-per-minute rate than the ET-2750, the ET-3700 is better suited for environments with moderate to higher printing demands.

• Better Paper Capacity: The 150-sheet paper tray helps improve workflow by reducing the frequency of paper refills.

Limitations:

• No ADF (Automatic Document Feeder): Like the ET-2750, the ET-3700 doesn’t have an ADF for automatic multi-page scanning or copying. You'll have to manually place each page on the scanner bed.

• Not the Highest Resolution: While 4800 x 1200 dpi is good for most tasks, it may not be ideal for users who need extremely high-quality prints, such as professional photographers or graphic designers.

Conclusion:

The Epson Expression ET-3700 EcoTank is an excellent choice for users who need an all-in-one printer with low operational costs and improved print speed. It’s ideal for small offices or home environments where moderate to high-volume printing is needed. The increased paper capacity, faster print speeds, and higher overall productivity make it a good upgrade over the ET-2750, especially if you're looking for a solution that reduces ink costs in the long run.
