Ink Refill Bottles for Epson WorkForce ET-4550 EcoTank Printer

The Epson WorkForce ET-4550 EcoTank is a powerful, cost-effective, all-in-one inkjet printer designed for small to medium-sized businesses, home offices, or workgroups with high-volume printing needs. It is part of Epson's EcoTank series, which utilizes a refillable ink tank system instead of traditional ink cartridges, offering significant savings on ink costs over time. Here’s a breakdown of the key features and specifications of the ET-4550:

1. EcoTank System

• The ET-4550 features Epson's EcoTank system, which comes with large, refillable ink tanks rather than conventional ink cartridges that can be refilled with the T664 ink refill bottles. This system drastically reduces the cost per page for printing.

• The printer comes with high-capacity T664 ink refill bottles pre-filled into the ink tanks, allowing you to start printing immediately. The included ink can print up to 11,000 black-and-white pages and 8,500 color pages, making the ET-4550 highly cost-effective for businesses that print frequently.

2. Print, Copy, Scan, and Fax Functionality

• The ET-4550 offers all-in-one functionality with print, copy, scan, and fax capabilities, making it an ideal solution for small offices or businesses that need a versatile machine to handle a wide range of tasks.

• The automatic document feeder (ADF) can handle up to 30 pages, which is especially useful for scanning or copying multi-page documents quickly and efficiently.

3. Print Quality

• The ET-4550 produces high-quality prints with a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi (dots per inch). This allows for sharp black text, detailed images, and vibrant color prints.

• Whether you need high-quality business documents or professional-looking color prints, the ET-4550 is capable of delivering reliable results for both text and graphics.

4. Print Speed

• The ET-4550 offers decent print speeds for its class. It can print up to 13 pages per minute (ppm) for black-and-white documents and 7.3 ppm for color prints.

• These speeds are more than sufficient for small to medium-sized offices, although it's not the fastest option available for high-volume commercial environments.

5. Wireless and Mobile Connectivity

• The ET-4550 supports Wi-Fi and offers wireless printing via the Epson iPrint app, Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and other mobile printing solutions. This makes it easy to print from smartphones, tablets, and computers without the need for physical connections.

• It also supports Ethernet for wired network connections, providing flexibility for office setups that prefer a more stable, wired connection.

6. Paper Handling

• The ET-4550 comes with a 250-sheet paper tray, which is suitable for medium-volume printing needs. It also supports a 30-sheet ADF for easier scanning and copying of multiple pages.

• The printer supports various paper sizes, including letter, legal, and A4. It also supports borderless printing for photo paper sizes up to 4x6 inches, which is great for printing professional-quality photos or promotional materials.

7. Cost Efficiency

• One of the standout features of the ET-4550 is its exceptionally low cost per page. Thanks to the EcoTank system, which can be refilled with the T664 ink refill bottles, you will spend much less on ink over time compared to traditional inkjet printers.

• The included ink bottles provide enough ink to print thousands of pages, and replacement ink bottles are sold separately at a much lower price point compared to standard ink cartridges. This is a significant benefit for businesses or offices that print regularly or in high volumes.

8. Energy Efficiency

• The ET-4550 is designed to be energy-efficient. It consumes less power than many traditional inkjet printers, which helps reduce electricity costs, making it an environmentally friendly option as well.

9. User-Friendly Design

• The ET-4550 features a 2.2-inch LCD control panel with easy-to-navigate buttons. The intuitive interface makes it simple to access all the printer’s functions, including copying, scanning, and faxing, without confusion.

• The setup process is straightforward, and Epson provides helpful software for installation and maintenance, making it easy to manage the printer from your computer or mobile device.

10. Fax Functionality

• In addition to printing, copying, and scanning, the ET-4550 offers fax functionality. This is useful for businesses that still rely on faxing for certain documents or communications.

Pros:

• Low cost per page due to the EcoTank system, ideal for high-volume printing.

• All-in-one functionality (print, copy, scan, fax) for versatile use.

• Automatic document feeder (ADF) for scanning or copying multi-page documents.

• Wireless connectivity and support for mobile printing solutions (AirPrint, Google Cloud Print).

• High-quality prints with resolutions up to 4800 x 1200 dpi.

• Energy-efficient design reduces power consumption.

• Large ink tanks that can print thousands of pages before needing a refill.

Cons:

• Moderate print speed (may not be fast enough for larger businesses with very high-volume needs).

• No automatic duplex printing (manual duplex printing only).

• Basic control panel with a small LCD screen, which lacks advanced touchscreen functionality.
